Planting trees in Burkina Faso will fight the harsh effects of climate change, restore the biodiversity, provide medicinal, shade and fruit trees. Together, we can win this noble goal.
In the short term, our efforts are concentrated in planting the most useful trees. They consist of fruit trees, shade trees, medicinal trees and those trees which leaves are useful for cooking, preparing tea and that are rich in vitamins and nutrients.
Providing basic education about the usefulness of trees, especially as it relates to rainfall, climate change and biodiversity is essential in Burkina Faso. We will be conducting basic training about trees to villagers, students and online to various stakeholders in Burkina Faso.

In order to get the communities engaged, we prioritize by planting fruit trees, shade trees, plants with medicinal benefits and plants which leaves are used for cooking, making beverages or tea such as the moringa oleifera..
Our goal is to build a movement where people are enthusiastic and engaged about planting trees and protecting the environment in Burkina Faso.
The moringa oleifera planting program has been very beneficial to the communities. Women harvest the leaves to make dishes. In addition, the dry leaves can be used in cooking sauces as well as be served as a tea.
In a semi desertic country like Burkina Faso, many efforts need to be deployed to plant trees to protect the environment and fight soil erosion. We are engaging communities to plant trees by prioritizing fruit trees, plants which leaves are essential for good nutrition, trees with medicinal benefits and also trees that are drought resistant and that grow faster.
Together let’s restore the environment by planting trees in Burkina Faso.
